Warm Caramel Almond Smoothie
A creamy and warming winter smoothie filled with goodness and the delicious flavours of almond and comforting cinnamon.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 15ml (1 tbsp) Montagu rolled oats 15ml
- (1 tbsp) Montagu raw almonds
- 3 Montagu pitted dates, roughly chopped
- 5ml (1 tsp) cinnamon
- 10ml (2 tsp) Montagu chia seeds
- 5ml (1 tsp) tahini
- 5ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
- 10ml (2 tsp) honey
- 220ml almond milk
Method:
1.) Place the oats, almonds and dates in a food processor and grind until fine.
2.) Add the cinnamon, chia seeds, tahini, vanilla essence, honey and almond milk. Blend together well until smooth.
3.) Transfer the mixture to a small saucepan. Place over a medium heat and gently warm through (do not allow to boil).
4.) Pour into a mug or glass and serve immediately.
