Montagu becomes the first South African company to launch innovative probiotic enriched mango
Montagu has launched an exciting range of flavoured mango products now enriched with the BC30 probiotic.
Added probiotics have often been limited to products like refrigerated yoghurt, but the possibilities the BC30 probiotic holds for other foods are promising, and Montagu’s Mango Bites range is a first for the South African food industry.

Our Mango Bites are bite-size mango pieces bursting with flavour and topped with probiotics for added benefits. Montagu is the first company in South Africa to add BC30 to its mango products. A 2019 study suggested that BC30 reduced how often children presented with signs of cold symptoms, showing benefits for their immune and digestive health. Such signs included reduced nasal congestion, itchy nose and throat hoarseness. Positive effects were also seen in reduced flatulence and improved stool consistency. BC30 is a very significant probiotic that can be added to foodstuffs without dying.
