Beef Meatballs With Onion & Cream Cheese Dip

Holidays and snacking go hand in hand and there’s nothing that says entertainment goddess like a creative snack platter. Serve with Montagu Chilli and Lime Flavoured Peanuts, Bunny Chow Flavoured Peanuts, Montagu Atchar Mango Bites and Montagu droëwors and biltong and you’re bound to impress. Pan-fried Beef Meatballs served with onion and cream cheese dip

Serves: 4
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Easy to make


  1. 1kg Beef boerewors
  2. 500ml Cream
  3. 1 packet Cream of Onion soup
  4. A handful of chives, chopped


  1. Take the sausage meat out of the casing and roll into small balls. Place in the fridge.
  2. Place the cream in a stand mixer with a whisk attachment and whip until medium-stiff peaks.
  3. Add the onion soup powder and chives and whip thoroughly.
  4. Pan-fry the meatballs until cooked and well browned.
  5. Serve the meatballs with the onion dip, flavoured peanuts, flavoured mango, biltong and droëwors.

To Serve:
  1. Montagu chilli and lime flavoured peanuts 
  2. Montagu bunny chow flavoured peanuts 
  3. Montagu atchar flavoured mango bites 
  4. Montagu sliced biltong and droëwors
