We’ve hit the ground running in 2022 and, as always, the new year has brought with it some new (and revived) health trends. And while we’ll always get those weird flash-in-the-pan health fads that come and go, the ‘trends’ that stand the test of time are the ones we always seem to come back to one way or another. Let’s unpack a few health trends that are standing out this year…
‘Loving yourself’ can be a loaded phrase for some people. It might look different for each person based on how they were raised and what was modeled for them in their relationships. But loving yourself is more than just giving yourself a hug, or a pat on the back, or saying “I love you, (insert name here”). Love for others starts with self-love. And self-love starts with simple acts of self-care.
Most new year resolutions are made with good intentions. Intention is good, but habits are better. Our own personal habits are the only variables that we can control. If we resolve to form habits of rest, refreshing and refueling in our lives and in our families, we can start and end the new year strong.
